Provisions on monopoly of salt.

These Measures, consisting of 29 articles, lay down provisions relating to salt monopoly management of the State governing the salt production, storage, transportation and sale activities in P.R. China. The system of designated salt production shall be executed. The establishment of designated salt production enterprises shall be subject to the approval by the competent salt sector authorities at provincial level. Before being engaged in wholesale salt business, a salt wholesale license must be obtained.
