Abstract
The aim of these Regulations is to strengthen the pig slaughtering management, ensure product quality and safety of live pigs, to protect people's health. The Text consists 41 Articles divided into 6 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Establishment of live pig designated slaughterhouses (II); Establishment of small scale live pig slaughterhouses (III); Slaughter and management(IV); Legal Liabilities (V); Supplementary Provisions (VI).
The system of and centralized quarantine shall be executed on live pigs. Qualified pig meat quality products shall be stamped with the meat inspection stamp of quality or accompanied by meat quality inspection marks. Local people's governments at or above the county level shall strengthen the supervision and leadership of the live pig slaughter management. The Regulations further provide for offences and penalties.
