Abstract
This Regulation is enacted to leverage the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine resources in Guizhou Province, inherit and develop traditional Chinese medicine, and meet the demand of the people for traditional Chinese medicine services. The Regulation consists of 31 Articles.
Measures shall be taken to protect and sustainablly utilize traditional Chinese medicine resources, protect the germplasm and genetic resources of traditional Chinese medicine, strengthen the research on optimal breeding and traditional Chinese medicine seed sources; Establish a germplasm resource bank to preserve the germplasm resources of traditional Chinese medicinal materials; Strengthen scientific research on the cultivation and breeding of wild varieties of traditional Chinese medicine; Strengthen the research on new varieties of traditional Chinese medicine, carry out research on substitutes for rare and endangered traditional Chinese medicine resources, and ensure the sustainable development of traditional Chinese medicine.
The departments responsible for managing intellectual property rights of the people's governments at or above the county level shall strengthen the management and protection of traditional Chinese medicine intellectual property rights, organize and guide traditional Chinese medicine institutions and personnel to apply for traditional Chinese medicine patents, geographical indications, new plant varieties and other intellectual property rights in a timely manner, and assist in the development of traditional Chinese medicine patent products and the registration of special trademarks.
