Abstract
This Regulation is enacted in accordance with the Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress to Comprehensively Prohibit the Illegal Trade of Wild Animals, Break the Bad Habit of Excessive Consumption of Wild Animals, and Effectively Secure the Life and Health of the People.
Article 2 provides for the scope of wild animals and their products forbidden to consume. Article 3 lists animals that can be eaten. Cold chain distribution of edible animals shall be carried out. No organization or individual may produce, sell or use food made from prohibited wild animals. No unit or individual shall provide places or trading services for the production and operation of prohibited animals and their products for the purpose of providing food. In addition, The following acts are prohibited:(1 Slaughtering poultry and livestock without permission;(2)Sale of poultry and livestock slaughtered without permission;(3)To sell live poultry and livestock to consumers for the purpose of providing food.
