Regulations of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Animal Epidemic Prevention.

The purpose of these Regulations is to strengthen the management of animal epidemic prevention activities, to prevent, control and extinguish animal diseases, protect human health, and maintain public health and safety. The Regulations consist of 10 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Prevention of Animal Epidemics (II); Treatment of Major Animal Epidemic Situation (III); Quarantine of Animals and Animal Products (IV); Animal Disease Diagnosis and Treatment (V); Supervision on Prevention of Animal Epidemics during Transportation of Animals and Animal Products (VI); Harmless Disposal of Dead Animals and Infected Animals (VII); Safeguards (VIII); Legal responsibility (IX); Supplementary Provisions (X).
The veterinary competent authority of the Autonomous Region shall develop the regional animal epidemics mandatory immunization plan, and establish the regional animal epidemic disease surveillance and epidemiological investigation plan. The people's governments at or above the county level shall formulate the emergency plan for major animal epidemic situation. The animal health supervision institutions of the people's governments at or above the county level shall, according to law, carry out quarantine on the animals and animal products. The Autonomous Region People's Government shall, according to the needs of animal epidemic prevention and quarantine, designate animals and animal products transportation routes and crossings,establish animal health supervision and inspection stations, and announce to the public.
