Abstract
These Regulations are formulated in accordance with the Fisheries Law of the People's Republic of China, aiming to strengthen the protection, increase, development and reasonable utilization of fishery resources, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of fishery producers, ensure quality and safety of aquatic products and promote the sustainable development of fishery. The Text consists of 68 Articles divided into 8 Chapters: General provisions (I); Aquaculture (II); Fishing (III); Fishery environment protection (IV); Quality and safety of aquatic products (V); Increase and protection of fishery resources (VI); Rewards and Penalties (VII); Supplementary provisions (VIII).
The Text addresses the issues of aquaculture certificates, rules and requirements to be satisfied by any entity or individual engaged in aquaculture, fishing authorization, enforcement, conservation measures, collection of the fishery resource protection and enhancement fees, etc.
