Decree-Law No. 44/2016 amending Decree-Law No. 37/2014 on the special legal regime for the implementation of land cadastre in Sal, Boa Vista, Sao Vicente and Maio islands.

This Decree-Law amends and re-publishes Decree-Law No. 37/2014 of 22 July on the special legal regime for the implementation of land cadastre in Sal, Boa Vista, Sao Vicente and Maio islands. Amendments deal with the following issues: concepts, collection of information, contracting of the executing entity, demarcation of buildings, declaration of ownership, presumption, and technical standards, exposure and public consultation, claim of provisional characterization, publicity of the public deed of notary justification and authorization of heirs, to vacant lands without owner, as well as to regulate buildings in situation of inheritance, to the compulsory registration of registered buildings, to the buildings integrated in the deferred cadastre, the Certificate of Property Identification, exemption of fees or reduction of emoluments of acts of registration, deadline, etc.
