Abstract
This Decree-Law approves the Statutes of the Autonomous Fund for the Development and Safety of Inter-island Maritime Transport (FADSTM). The FADSTM's mission is to guarantee the development and safety of maritime transport, through the payment of any compensation for the fulfilment of public service obligations by the concessionaires of the inter-island maritime transport system and the financing of the operational costs of the maritime safety system, including the support for the costs of the structure responsible for concessions and licensing of land in the maritime public domain, as well as the financing of projects to promote the safety and protection of the national coastline.
