Decree No. 2/2018 approving the Additional Protocol to the Agreement on Fisheries Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Senegal and the Government of the Republic of Cape Verde concerning the Partnership in Sanitary Control and Certification of Fishery Products.

An Additional Protocol to the Agreement on Fisheries Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Senegal and the Government of the Republic of Cape Verde concerning the Partnership in Sanitary Control and Certification of Fishery Products was signed in Praia, on 28 April 2015. This Protocol aims, essentially, at regulating the transhipment and landing of fishing vessels flying Cape Verdean flag operating in the Atlantic, which cannot, for better rationalization of the exploration, land their products in the ports of Cape Verde for inspection and certification purposes. The Protocol will last one year, renewable for a further period, unless denounced by one of the Parties.
The Act makes provisions for the hunting, killing, ownership, liberation, keeping in captivity of wild animals.
The Act further provides for: the granting of concessions to authorize wild animal recovery operations on certain Crown-owned land; declaration of recreational hunting areas; powers of local authorities; offences and penalties; regulation making powers of the Governor-General; etc.
