Joint Order No. 35/2025 approving the Recreational Boating Regulations.

This Joint Order approves recreational boating regulations. Any boat covered by this Regulation must regularise their situation within a maximum period of 12 months from the date of its entry into force. The purpose of these Regulations is to establish the rules applicable to recreational boating. The Regulations apply to all recreational craft (‘RC’), their equipment and materials, regardless of their classification, as well as to their users, whether or not they are responsible for their operation or navigation. The classification of RCs must be requested from the Maritime Administration, upon request by the interested party, at the competent services thereof or on the respective website, or from another entity duly accredited for this purpose, pursuant to paragraph 1 of Article 9 of Decree-Law No. 37/2015 of 19 July.
