Abstract
This Law may be cited as the Assessment and Management of Environmental Noise (Amendment) Law of 2006 and shall be read as one with the Assessment and Management of Environmental Noise Law of 2004 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Law"). The principal Law and the present Law shall be read as one and will be referred to as the Assessment and Management of Environmental Noise Laws of 2004-2006. The present law brings forth certain amendments to the principal law, more specifically: certain definitions contained in article 2 of the basic law shall be replaced with those laid down herewith; minor wording amendments are brought forth in article 6; article 8 is entirely replaced by the new article 8 ‘strategic mapping of noise’, laid down herewith; in article 9, paragraphs (a) and (b) of section (1) and section (2) shall be replaced with the text contained in this law.
