Commodities and services (Regulation and Control) (Common quality standards for pistachio nuts) Order 2001 (P.I. No. 226/2001).

This Order lays down common quality standards for pistachio nuts in relation to the sale and storage. The quality standards referred to in regulation 2 are defined in the Annex. The provisions of the Annex apply to 'Pistacia vera L.' nut variety that is intended for human consumption. The standards regard the definition of produce, quality requirements (minimum requirements, classification), special provisions, sizing, quality tolerances, packaging and presentation, marking, labelling.
