Abstract
These Regulations may be cited as the Control of Atmospheric Pollution (Limitation of Volatile Organic Compounds due to the Use of Organic Solvents in Certain Activities and Installations) (Amendment) Regulations of 2010 and shall be read as one with the Control of Atmospheric Pollution (Limitation of Volatile Organic Compounds due to the Use of Organic Solvents in Certain Activities and Installations) Regulations of 2003-2006 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Regulations"). The principal Regulations and the present Regulations shall be read as one and will be referred to as the Control of Atmospheric Pollution (Limitation of Volatile Organic Compounds due to the Use of Organic Solvents in Certain Activities and Installations) Regulations of 2003-2010. The present Regulations are issued with the aim of implementing article 3 of EU Directive 2008/112/EC. Under this light, Regulation 2 (paragraphs (a) and (b)) and 8 (paragraphs (1), (3) and (5)) to the principal Regulations are amended so as to transpose hazard statements, risk phrases, terminology and technical standards as prescribed by Council Directive 2008/112/EC.

The provisions of Regulation 8, paragraph (1) shall enter into force on 1 December 2010. The provisions of Regulation 8, paragraph 5 shall enter into force on 1 June 2015.
