Abstract
This Act may be cited as the Food (Control and Sale) (Amendment) Act 2013 and shall be read together with the Food (Control and Sale) Laws of 1996 to 2011 (hereinafter referred as the "basic law") and referred to collectively as the Food (Control and Sale) laws of 1996 to 2013. Article 16A of the principal law is amended by replacing subsection (1) with new subsection (A): "Each of the Directors of Medical Services and Public Health Services and Veterinary Services may take appropriate measures, including information published in the press, broadcasting television announcements, radio communications advertisement and notices by any other means, in order to inform the public; (a) on the risk to human health which may result from food, required under the terms and pursuant to article 10 of Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002, and (b) infringements of the provisions of articles 7, 9, 11 or 12 and/or 13 of this amended Law in relation to a particular foodstuff to reports information in sub-paragraphs (i) to (iii) of paragraph (d) of subsection (2) of this article".
