Guidelines for the Collection, Production and Disposal of Forest Reproductive Material by the Department of Forests.

These Guidelines provide for: classifying the plant species that each forest nursery of the Department of Forests produces; defining the areas for collecting propagating material for specified species; specifying the qualitative and quantitative characteristics that the plants must meet before their placing on the market; keeping identity data for selected forest species. The main goal of these Guidelines is the production and uninterrupted distribution of high quality forest reproductive material from the Department of Forestry, with the aim of expanding the greenery on the country and preserving biodiversity in the forests. Specific objectives include: specification of storage conditions for seeds; determination of plant species for which a production register will be kept.
