Abstract
This law provides for the implementation of European Community Regulations and Decisions relating to fisheries sector. With the purpose of implementing the E.U. legislative texts listed down in the First and Second Annex of this law, the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research shall be the competent authority. The Director has the power to authorize inspectors in relation to the effective implementation of the present law. The text describes in detail the powers of inspectors.
