Imposition of qualitative control at the export of cabbages Regulations 2000 (P.I. 296/2000).

The provisions of these regulations sets forth quality standards for cabbages. This standard applies to vegetables of the varieties (cultivars) of Lactuca sativa L. and Cichorium endivia L., to be exported and for supply fresh to the consumer after preparation and packaging. The aforementioned vegetables intended for industrial processing are not covered by the present regulations. This standard defines also the minimum quality requirements to be met by cabbages after preparation and packaging, classification, sizing, packaging and presentation, marking and labelling.
