Abstract
The provisions of these regulations sets forth quality standards for garden onions. This standard applies to vegetables of the varieties (cultivars) of Allium cepa L., to be exported and for supply fresh to the consumer after preparation and packaging. Fresh onions intended for industrial processing, are not covered by the present regulations. This standard defines also the minimum quality requirements to be met by onions after preparation and packaging, classification, sizing, packaging and presentation, marking and labelling.
