Imposition of qualitative control at the export of Witloof chicory Regulations 2000 (P.I. 307/2000).

The provisions of these regulations sets forth quality standards for Witloof chicory. This standard applies to vegetables of the varieties (cultivars) of Cichorium intybus L. var. foliosum HEGI, to be exported and for supply fresh to the consumer after preparation and packaging. Chicory intended for industrial processing, are not covered by the present regulations. This standard defines also the minimum quality requirements to be met by Witloof chicory after preparation and packaging, classification, sizing, packaging and presentation, marking and labelling.
