Abstract
These Regulations set forth the criteria for the recognition of breeders' associations and the acceptability conditions for registering horses in herd books. A breeders' association which maintains or establishes herd books, in order to be officially recognized, must meet the criteria prescribed in article 3. For registering in the herd book of its breed, the animals must meet the conditions of article 4. Maintaining the name of animals in trade between the Republic and Member States is prescribed in article 6. The conditions for horse racing are set forth in article 7.
