Law no. 18(III) of 2019 concerning the enforcement of the revised International Agreement on the Establishment of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean.

This Law provides for the ratification and the adoption of the revised version of the Agreement establishing the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean Sea, which was approved by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of United Nations, during the 38th annual session of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean on 19-24 May 2014. The Law includes, in its Part I the translated Greek version of the text of the Agreement and in its Part II the original English version, which prevails in case of difference between the two texts. The Law identifies the competent authority for the implementation of the provisions of this Law as the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment or a person duly authorised for this purpose by the Minister and empowers the Council of Minister to issue Regulations to determine anything that is needed or can be determined for the better implementation of the provisions of this Law.
