The Protection from Ionising Radiation and Nuclear and Radiological Safety and Protection Law, no. 164 of 2018.

This Law, divided into eight Parts and consisting of 65 articles and eleven attached tables, applies in any emergency exposure situation involving a risk to human health due to exposure to ionising radiation or radioactive mixing or release or dispersion of radioactive substances, in terms of environmental and human health protection; in civilian nuclear facilities and in human activities which involve or may involve the presence of natural sources of radiation or activities, such as manufacture, production, processing, handling, use, possession, storage, transport, import, export, shipment, recycling, reuse, disposal of radioactive substances or waste and provides for emergency preparedness, response planning and management, to justify measures to protect the human health.
