Abstract
These Regulations, made under provisions of article 26 (2)(I) of the Law no. 147/I of 2003 on Protection Measures Against the Importation and Spread of Organisms Harmful to Plants and Plant Products, and in order to implement the European Council Directive no. 2002/89/EC on protective measures against the introduction into the Community of organisms harmful to plants or plant products and against their spread within the Community, provides for imposing phytosanitary fees concerning protective measures against the introduction and spread of organisms harmful to plants and plant products. According to the Regulations the competent authority imposes phytosanitary fees to any person or his representative, who exports or imports plants, plant products or other related products. A certification of payment shall be attached to the phytosanitary certificate, in case of re-export. The attachment details costs of phytosanitary fees according to the activity or the variety of plant and plant products.
