Abstract
With the purpose of aligning the Cypriot legislative frame with the European Council Decision 93/361/EEC of 17 May 1993 on the accession of the Community to the Protocol to the 1979 Geneva Convention on long-range transboundary air pollution concerning the control of emissions of nitrogen oxides or their transboundary fluxes, the present Law ratifies herewith the above mentioned Protocol which was signed on 31 October 1998 in Sofia, Bulgaria. The competent authority for the implementation of the Protocol is the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance of the Republic of Cyprus.
