Regulations no. 751 of 2003 concerning Protection Measures against the Importation and Spread of Organisms Harmful to Plants and Plant Products (Obligations of Producers and Importers of Plants, Plant Products and other Objects and Defining the Details for their Registration in Official Registers).

These Regulations, implementing provisions of article 26 of the Law no. 147/I of 2003 on Protection Measures Against the Importation and Spread of Organisms Harmful to Plants and Plant Products, and providing for harmonisation of Cyprus Legislation with the Commission Directive 92/90/EEC laying down obligations to which producers and importers of plants, plant products or other objects are subject, concern: definition of details for the registration in the official registers of obligations of producers and importers of plants and plant products. Matters covered by the Regulations include: application to the Competent Authority; conditions to register producers and importers; measures to be taken in case of non-fulfilment of obligations; maintaining an up-to date plan of premises where plants and plant products are produced, stored, kept or used; keeping records; cooperation with the Competent Authority; designation of a person technically experienced in the field of plant production and related phytosanitary matters; special activities related to the evaluation or improvement of the phytosanitary status of the premises, including: examinations, sampling, isolation, eradication, destruction and labelling.
