Regulations no. 754 of 2003, on Protection Measures against the Importation and Spread of Organisms Harmful to Plants and Plant Products (Registration of Producers, Warehouses and Distribution Centres of Certain Plants and Plant Products).

These Regulations implement provisions of article 26 of the Law no. 147/I of 2003 on Protection Measures Against the Importation and Spread of Organisms Harmful to Plants and Plant Products, and provide for harmonisation of Cyprus Legislation with the Commission Directive 93/50/EEC on the designation of certain Plants not included in Annex V part A of Council Directive 77/93/EEC of which producers or warehouses or accommodation centres in the production zones of the plants, must be recorded in an official register. According to the Regulations, the Competent Authority registers in the official register the producers, the collection, and the distribution centres for the following plant varieties: potatoes, except for seeds, and fruits of the citrus genus and their hybrids.
