Regulatory Decision No. 02/2024. Regulatory Framework for the Activation of Active Customers and Self-Consumers of Energy from Renewable Sources.

This Regulatory Decision, implementing provisions of articles 5, 9 and 122 of the Electricity Market Regulation Laws no. 130 (I) of 2021, and article 38 of the Promotion and Encouragement of the Use of Renewable Energy Sources Law no. 107 (I) of 2022, concerns the establishment of a regulatory framework for the activation of active customers and self-consumers of energy from renewable sources. This Decision provides for: bilateral energy purchase and sale agreements; participation of customers and self-consumers in the individual electricity market and in flexibility and energy efficiency programmes; storing energy from renewable sources, and selling excess electricity generation from renewable sources; installation and operating energy storage facilities in combination with renewable energy generation facilities for self-consumption.
