Abstract
The Sponge Fishery Ordinances (1966-1977) empower the Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment to make the following prescriptions for the year 1995: a) "Open Season" means the period between the 1st May and the 30th November 1995. b) Diving groups to which sponge-fishing licenses will be granted, shall not exceed the number of three hundred (300). c) No crew member that is not a citizen of the Republic of Cyprus shall be engaged in any sponge-fishing activity.
