Abstract
The provisions of this Law, consisting of 16 articles and implementing the Regulation (EU) no. 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council on a common organisation of the markets in agricultural products; and the Regulation (EC) no. 617/2008 of the Commission on the establishment of detailed rules for the implementation of Regulation (EC) no. 1234/2007 of the Council on marketing standards for hatching eggs and poultry chicks, apply to the production and marketing of hatching eggs and poultry chicks. The Law defines the following relevant terms: competent authority; establishment manager; Union Regulations; inspector. Matters covered by the Law include: powers of the competent authority; exceptions in in the labelling of hatching eggs; registration of facilities and its revocation; appointment and powers of inspectors; corrective actions to restore compliance with this Law and its provisions; administrative fines; offences and penalties; issuance of regulations; repeal of the Production and Use of Hatching Eggs and Young Poultry Law of 2004.
