Decree on the protection of animals used for experimental purposes.

This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture, which is composed of 13 articles and 11 Annexes, implements the relevant European Union regulations and lays down measures for the protection of animals used for experimental purposes. In particular, it lays down provisions governing: application for authorization for the use of experimental animals and application for authorization for breeding of experimental animals (art. 2 and 3); requirements for premises and equipment of facilities (art. 6); requirements relating to the care and housing of experimental animals (art. 7); methods of killing different types of animals (art. 9 with details in Annex 10); requirements for number of animals during their transport in containers (art. 10 with details in Annex 11).
