Abstract
This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture, which is composed of 20 articles, establishes, in accordance with the legislation of the European Community: (a) method of veterinary checks of live animals, veterinary checks of sperm, eggs cells and embryos and veterinary checks of pathogen, intended for trading with member states of the European Union; (b) coordination and assistance to farmers in the matters relating to veterinary checks; (c) details on measures taken by the authorities conducting veterinary checks in case there is a disagreement between farmers and the veterinary authorities; (d) the period within which one can apply for a veterinary certificate which accompanies the animals intended for trade, terms and period of validity of this certificate. This Decree does not apply to the movement of pet animals between member states of the European Union where the animals are accompanied by a natural person responsible for them and they are not moved for commercial purposes.
