Abstract
This Act sets forth the legislative framework on fisheries. It regulates: (a) breeding, protection of fish and fishing, cultivation and catching of aquatic organisms and the protection of their life and the environment; (b) fish farming, the announcement, modification and cancellation of fishing areas and their protection; (c) performance of state administration in the fish-farming industry; (d) records of the economic performance, of the achieved economic result, of the catch of fish and of the records on the issue of allowances for hunting in ponds and in the exercise of fishing rights; (e) powers and responsibilities of the fisheries guards; (f) supervision over the observance of the law and the decisions issued on its basis and administrative penalties for non-fulfillment or breach of the established obligations; (g) the State's share of the cost of measures taken in the public interest; ((h) the protection of marine fishery resources.
The present Act is composed of the following Sections: Introductory provisions (Sec. 1); Fish farming, fishing areas, protected fishing areas (Sec. 2); Fishing (Sec. 3); Guards (Sec. 4); Fishery state administration (Sec. 5); Protection of marine fisheries resources (Sec. 6); Sanctions (Sec. 7); Transitional and final provisions (Sec. 8).
