Abstract
This Act regulates hunting in the territory of the Czech Republic and lays down provisions for the preservation of wild animals, giving particular regard to endangered species. The provisions deal with (i) importation and exportation of living animals, (ii) importation and release of game belonging to exotic species, (iii) setting up of hunting areas, (iv) hunting activities, (v) improvement of living conditions of game, (vi) recovery of harms caused by game or during hunting, and (vii) preservation of the historical and cultural tradition of hunting in the Czech Republic. The Act is composed of the following Sections: (1) General provisions; (2) Breeding of wild animals; (3) Hunting and improvement of living conditions of animals; (4) Setting up and use of hunting areas; (5) Hunting management; (6) Harms caused during hunting; (7) State administration; (8) Penalties; (9) Temporary and final provisions; (10) Entry into force.
