Abstract
The present Ordinance implements the Directive 2006/7/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the management of bathing water quality. The Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the monitoring and classification of bathing water quality, the management of bathing water quality and the information of the public on bathing water quality. The text consists of 14 articles as follows: Purpose and sphere of application (1); Definition of terms (2); Monitoring (3); Assessment of bathing water quality (4); Classification and quality of bathing water (5); Profile of bathing water (6); Management in special situation, measures to be taken in case of high individual values (7); Dangers caused by certain bacteria (8); Other parameters (9); Collaboration in transboundary rivers (10); Participation of the public (11); Information of the public (12); Report (13); Entry into force (14). Five Annexes are enclosed.
