Abstract
The present Law lays down provisions relating to water supply in the Land of Baden-Württemberg. The text consists of 132 articles divided into 12 Parts as follows: Introductory provisions; classification of waters, principles, management, rivers (I); Ownership of waters (II); Exploitation of waters, implementation of EU legislation, protection of mineral springs, water supply, basins, dams and disposal of waste water (III); Maintenance, extension and sustainable development of surface waters, marginal waters, dams (IV); Safety of water discharges (V); Surveillance of waters, constructions, dangerous waters (VI); Compulsory duties (VII); Compensation (VIII); Competence and proceedings (IX), Water charges (X); Penalties and final provisions (XI); Transitional and final provisions (XII).
