Abstract
The Ordinance establishes stringent fertilization requirements in nitrate-affected areas to protect water bodies from nitrate pollution to safeguard water quality from agricultural nitrate contamination. It identifies impacted agricultural field blocks and mandates annual updates from the agriculture ministry to stakeholders. Key provisions include the scientific assessment of nitrogen and phosphorus in organic fertilizers, particularly from biogas plants, and annual soil nitrogen sampling before significant nitrogen application, with exceptions for certain lands like grasslands. Violations are penalized. The text consists of 4 Articles.
