Abstract
The purpose of the present Act is to implement the Directive 2005/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for the setting of eco-design requirements for energy-using products and amending Council Directive 92/42/EEC and Directives 96/57/EC and 2000/55/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council. Article 1 establishes that the Ordinance applies to the marketing, running and exhibiting of energy-using products except for the transportation of passengers and freights. The text - consisting of 15 articles – deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: sphere of application, definition of terms, transfer of powers, marketing, running and exhibition, duty to notify, survey of market, labelling, registration, publication of and access to information, authorized bodies and penalties. One Annex is enclosed.
