Abstract
The Ordinance sets out hygiene standards for the production, handling and the placing on the market of fishery products, aquaculture products and bivalve molluscs for human consumption. The establishments performing the preparation, processing, chilling, freezing, packaging or storage of fishery products, factory-vessels, auction and wholesale markets are subject to regular inspection by the competent authority. The Ordinance establishes also conditions for the imports of fishery products from third countries, which include a health certificate, the placing of an identification mark and the drawing up of a list of approved establishments. The text consists of 28 articles divided into 8 chapters and 4 Annexes.
