Abstract
The present Ordinance enacts the Fish Products Labelling Act (BGBl. I p. 2980) and the Council Regulation (EC) No 104/2000 of 17 December 1999 on the common organisation of the markets in fishery and aquaculture products. Article 3 establishes that the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food (Federal Agency) is responsible for providing a list of trade names of fish species (directory), including for amendment of list, as well as setting up temporary trade names. The Federal Agency shall act on its own initiative or at request. The text consists of 10 articles as follows: Sphere of application (1); Definition of terms (2); Trade-names (3); Indirect indication of the method of production (4); Specifying several fishing areas in aquaculture products (5); Exemption from the labelling requirement (6); Keeping of documents (7); Penalties (8); Competent authorities (9); Entry into force (10).
