Abstract
The present Law lays down provisions relating to hunting in the Land Hamburg. The purpose of the Law is to regulate hunting in the Land Hamburg in such a way that the conservation and use of a great variety of game, as well as the care, safeguard and possible reinstatement of its living basis under special urban conditions is reached. The text - consisting of 32 articles - deals with the following matters: public and private hunting grounds, hunting cooperatives, fostering communities, lease of hunting grounds and lessees, hunting permit, voidness of hunting lease contracts, registration of hunting grounds in hunting licences, expiry of hunting lease contracts, hunting licence, insurance for hunting licences, vocational training, shooting regulations, hunting seasons, hunting facilities, contents of game, protection, hunting inspectors, damage caused by game and hunting activities, feeding of game, keeping of hunting dogs, empowerment, Hunting Board, and penalties.
