Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Nature Protection Law.

The present Law lays down provisions relating to the protection of nature and landscape in the land of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.To conserve the environment for future generations, nature and its landscape, being the living space of human beings, shall be protected in such a way as to secure in the long run its integrity, capability of regeneration and sustainable use, as well as to ensure the conservation of flora and fauna and living spaces, including its beauty and recreation value. The present Law consists of 79 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Ecological environment observation, landscape planning (II); Minimum protection of nature (III); Protection, care and development of certain parts of nature and landscape (IV); Protection and care of wild living animal and plants (V); Recreation in nature and landscape (VI); Promotion of nature protection, limitation of rights (VII); Competences, organization, participations of associations, proceedings (VIII); Penalties (IX); Transitional and final provisions (X). Three Annexes are enclosed.
