Abstract
The purpose of the present Law is to enforce the Federal Nature Protection Act in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Article 1 establishes that the nature protection authorities are entrusted with the implementation of the afore-mentioned Act. The text consists of 43 articles divided into 11 Parts as follows: Competences, tasks and powers, collaboration of authorities (1); Landscape planning, intervention rules (2); Protection of certain parts of nature and landscape (3); Protection of wild animal and plant species, their habitats and biotopes (4); Marine nature conservation (5); Recreation in nature and landscape (6); Honorary nature protection (7); Ownership positions, exceptions (8); Environment and Nature Protection Foundation – Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (9); Proceedings (10); Penalties (11).
