Nordrhein-Westfalen Forestry Law.

The present Law lays down provisions relating to forestries in the Land Nordrhein-Westfalen. In order to ensure a sustainable forestry planning the management of forests shall take due account of the biological variety, productivity, capacity of regeneration, vitality and the capacity to fulfill present and future important ecological economical and social functions. The management shall also ensure that no damage is inflicted to eco-systems. The text consists of 77 articles divided into 8 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Promotion of forestry (II); Special provisions concerning public forests (III); Conservation and increase of forests (IV); Management and improvement of Forest services (V); Denomination of forest officers and uniforms (VI), Costs and penalties (VII); Final provisions (VIII).
