Abstract
The present Ordinance enforces the Commercial Class Act in its version of 23. November 1972 (BGBl. I p. 2201). In particular, the Ordinance regulates the marketing of poultry meat. Non-packed or pre-packed poultry meat may be marketed only if marked in accordance with the relevant EU regulations (Commission Regulation (EC) No. 543/2008 laying down detailed rules for the application of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1234/2007 as regards the marketing standards for poultry meat). Furthermore, slaughterhouses must ensure that poultry lots bear the date of production which has to be registered. The Ordinance consists of 10 articles.
