The regulation contains detailed provisions for the protection of natural landmarks in Berlin and sets clear guidelines for dealing with these special natural phenomena. The regulation defines specific natural landmarks in Annex 1 (trees) and Annex 2 (boulders) and specifies their protected area. The regulation outlines that the property owners must allow the placement of signs indicating the significance of natural monuments, as long as it doesn't unreasonably disrupt land use, and they must grant access for inspections upon prior notification. The text consists of 9 Articles and provides for explanation of natural monument and protected area; purpose of protection; obligations for conservation and commands; prohibitions; actions requiring approval; and violation of procedural and formal requirements.
