Abstract
The present Ordinance implements the Berlin Nature Protection Law of 30 January 1979 and the Tree Protection Ordinance of 11 January 1982. Article 2 of the present Ordinance establishes that the longest possible preservation of old or seldom or valuable trees or group of trees shall be the particular aim of protection. Furthermore, trees listed in Annex 2 are protected because of their rarity, uniqueness, exceptional beauty under the afore-mentioned Tree Protection Ordinance. The text consists of 9 articles as follows: Explanation in relation to «natural monument» (1); Object and purpose of protection (2); Preservation duty (3); Requirements (4); Bans (5); Action subject to authorization (6); Obligatory tolerance (7); Penalties (8); Entry into force (9). Two Annexes are enclosed.
