Abstract
The purpose of the present Law is, inter alia, to: 1) conserve the great variety of wild animals in respect of its natural living basis; 2) ensure, improve and re-instate, as the case may be, the natural living basis of wild animals; 3) limit damages in the forests and on agricultural cultivations caused by wild huntable animals; 4) harmonize matters pertaining to hunting in particular with those of nature protection, animal protection, care of landscape. The present Law lays down provisions relating to hunting issues in the Land Rheinland-Pfalz. The text consists of 55 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Hunting districts and foster communities (2); Participation of third parties in the practice of hunting (3); Hunting licence (4); Restriction of hunting, hunting duties including prohibition to molest game (5); Protection of hunting (6); Damage caused by game and hunting (7); Hunting administration (8); Penalties and fines (9); Transitional and final provisions (10). One Annex is enclosed.
