Abstract
This Ordinance is enacted by the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency and provides for the suitability, project specification and the capacity to be installed based on the Offshore Wind Energy Act. The Regulation provides for determination of eligible areas including exclusive economic zone of the North Sea for project. The effects of project on the marine environment are considered including avoidance and reduction of emissions, noise emissions, waste, sewage, plant cooling, oil content of the drainage water and diesel generators. The Ordinance further lays down regulations on the general rules for the safety and ease of ship and air transport, traffic safety, vehicles and work equipment, flight corridors and navigation safety. Subsection 6 of the Ordinance determines safety and health protection principal, rescue and emergency medical supply and monitoring of compliance with health and safety regulations. Other obligations refer to compatibility with existing and planned cables, distance to wind turbines in neighbouring areas, feed-in and connection point and other obligations for the project sponsor. The Regulation consists of 41 Articles and 4 Parts.
