State Treaty between the Federal State of Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland on the establishment and maintenance of the National Park Hunsr ck-Hochwald .

The present Treaty between the Federal State of Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland establishes the National Park Hunsr ck-Hochwald . The purpose of the National Park is to safeguard in a predominant part of its territory the undisturbed flow of natural processes in their natural dynamics. The National Park shall comply with the criteria of category II of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN). Moreover, the National Park is part of the Ecological Network of the Federation and the states of Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. The text consists of 26 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: Area, structure, purpose (1); Panning and development (2); Provisions on protection and maintenance (3); Organisation (4); Final provisions (5). One Annex is enclosed.
