Abstract
The present Ordinance implements various EU-Directives. Article 1 establishes that the purpose of the Ordinance is to protect surface waters and to analyse their economic use. The text consisting of 16 articles deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: definition of terms, positions, boundaries and classification of surface water bodies, ecological condition and ecological potential, classification of the chemical state, surface water bodies used for production of potable water, standards for monitoring the quality components, monitoring of ecological conditions, ecological potential and chemical state, monitoring of substances of the observation list, economical analysis of water use. 13 Annexes are enclosed.
